This fresh pesto recipe is so easy and simple to make! It's one for the whole family and so good to taste the fresh basil and garlic coming through. Next time you reach for a jar, try making some yourself. If you have a basil plant, the leaves keep growing back, so make yourself some more in a few weeks.
Ingredients
40g Basil
30g Pine Nuts
30g Parmasan
74ml Olive Oil
2 Garlic Cloves
Salt & Pepper to taste
Method
Start by heating a small frying pan over a low heat. Add the pine nuts and cook until golden, shaking occasionally.
Add the pine nuts into a food processor together with the basil, parmesan, olive oil and garlic cloves. Blitz until smooth, then add salt and pepper to taste!
Storage
You can store this basil pesto in one of our stainless steel containers or silicone bags. Simply seal and refrigerate for up to 1 week or freeze for up 3 months. Let it thaw at room temperature if frozen, before use.
